Beer lovers searching for the perfect pint of Asahi Super Dry now know exactly where to go, with four Duxton Pubs among just seven venues across South Australia selected for Asahi’s exclusive Master of Super Dry Program.
Saracens Head Hotel in the city, Cremorne Hotel in Unley, Lion Hotel in North Adelaide and Norwood’s Alma Tavern were selected out of 50 pubs nationally and are currently undergoing rigorous training in the art of the pour.
Duxton Pubs CEO Mark Condi says having four venues selected reflects the group’s commitment to delivering premium hospitality experiences.
“Hospitality is all about the details and this program is the perfect example of that,” Mr Condi says.
“It’s taking something as familiar as ordering a beer and turning it into a premium experience.
“Only a handful of venues have been entrusted with this program, so to have four Duxton venues recognised is a fantastic endorsement of our people and our commitment to quality.”
The recognition comes as demand for premium Japanese beer continues to grow in Australia, fuelled in part by increasing tourism to Japan and a growing appreciation for Japanese food and beverage culture.
The two-part pour is something staff must master to achieve the perfect glass. The goal is to create a perfect beer-to-foam ratio – a precise technique that delivers the same premium experience you’d expect in Japan.
For drinkers, that means the last sip should taste much closer to the first sip, rather than becoming flat halfway through the glass.
Guests visiting the Saracens Head, Cremorne, Lion and Alma hotels can expect to experience one of Australia’s finest serves of beer as the program rolls out over the coming weeks.
