The Duxton Pubs Emerging Leaders Program is your opportunity to develop, challenge and elevate valuable skills and become a well-rounded and respected leader within the group. Our program will see you surrounded by a strong network of future leaders who are looking to challenge themselves in pursuit of a career in hospitality.
With modules delivered by Duxton Pubs industry professionals, trainees will also complete hospitality training with our chosen RTO. This includes a Certificate III in Hospitality and a Certificate IV in Leadership & Management.
The Duxton Experience
Our Program
Year 1 ‘Ground Up’
The first year is designed to give you an opportunity to develop your hospitality knowledge from the ‘ground up’ and practically apply your learning. During this year, you will work full-time across our venues while completing a Certificate III in Hospitality in conjunction with our chosen RTO, HITsa.
Year 2 ‘Step Up’
The second year aims to further develop your leadership skills while studying a Certificate IV in Leadership and Management. As a trainee you will delve into managerial tasks and have greater responsibilities across the venues, graduating from the program at the end of Year 2.
Year 3 ‘Work It’
Your final year is a chance for you to implement your learning by being permanently placed within a nominated venue or department. As a successful graduate, you will be given the autonomy to demonstrate and utilise your leadership and management skills under the guidance of a mentor.
MODULES
What sets our program apart is that as a trainee, you will rotate through tailored modules developed by Duxton’s Managers, delivered hands-on in venues. With years of experience between them, the General Managers and Venue Managers will coach and guide you through all activities and tasks. Helping to develop your hospitality knowledge and refine your skills, this puts you in the perfect position to explore
